It just depends on which camera you are using. You may be able to view the clip in the Photos app, but it doesn't show up in the source list of iMovie. But if you have a camera that shoots iPad-compatible movies, you're out of luck. If you have an iPhone, you can shoot movies and import them using the camera connection kit. One final note: Getting footage into iMovie is absurdly complicated. I imagine it may be possible to get rid of this warning using provisioning profiles, but for now just clicking "cancel" once on each sync works fine. Syncing then copied those new apps back to the iPad. I have updated other apps on my iPad since installing iMovie, and that went fine. It appears that this warning only applies to iMovie. Clicking "Don't authorize' will delete iMove from your iPad. You just get sent back to this warning after inputting your password. Lofte. This annoying box will pop up every time you syncĪuthorizing doesn't help. I will be trying it when they get a some of their other offerings up in app form. Anyone try that yet? Sorry, I'm not interested in any subscription to People, no matter how good the app is. They recently sent me an ad advertising the magazine and giving me a "special" price of $20 for a year plus a bonus six months free, so effectively a year and a half for $20! If only I could get the Economist at that rate! Given that discount, I'd gladly pay the print rate and just tell them to save a tree and not send me the print copy. For example, I formerly subscripted to TIME magazine.

More importantly, it allows all of us to receive deep discounts for signing up for a year(kinda like buying an iPhone!). Using the web to sign up for magazine subscriptions allows me to receive a small additional discount for being a college student. Of course, buying your iPad subscription at would mightly annoy and invoke the wrath of el Jobso but this can be solved by making it a subscription to all online services-iPad and online.Īnother important point in this is that of subscriber and student discounts. WSJ does this, but they don't include the iPad edition. So right next to the print option, choose a subscription w/out delivery-just online and iPad. All that TIME needs to do is let you subscribe online just to their eMagazine, just like their regular edition. This is a huge step in the right direction, I'd say 95% of the way there. I saw this on a different blog, glad you caught it too and did a nice write-up.
